To dig deeper, this blog will outline the ways Reel Property Solutions, LLC utilizes networking, the benefits, tips for networking, and what to do for continued success.

 

Reel Property Solutions, LLC’s goals and tips for networking is vast.  First, it is refreshing to meet other like-minded real estate investors.  One reason is the possibility for a partnership on a property- or what is called a Joint Venture- thus meeting people is like an interview to decide how everyone can help each other.  Reel Property Solutions, LLC is always seeking lending sources, specifically Private Money Lenders (PML).  A PML is a terrific way for that source to reap the rewards of being an investor without doing a lot of “work.”  The involvement in completely negotiable.

Reel Property Solutions, LLC’s biggest goal and tips for networking is to understand the market from other people’s perspectives.  Someone who has been investing for several decades will have perspective regarding which years will be a seller’s market, neutral, or a buyer’s market, including what is to come.  Ever heard of the term “History repeats itself?”  That is a very true for real estate!

There are 3 networking groups that Reel Property Solutions, LLC will attend every month and always looking for more!  Also, there are online networking groups and then just casual conversations that lead into business opportunities are phenomenal tips for networking!

The first Wednesday morning of the month is 1 Million Cups.  Tips for networking here are to keep in mind this is designed for people of various businesses, with a focus on small businesses in the community.  Therefore, since it is not all about real estate, we at Reel Property Solutions, LLC have found other businesses we would like to utilize such as boat rentals or a meal prep service.  This group is still a great networking event to see how people can relate with real estate and everyday life.  One speaker had a visual timeline of how to grow their business.  Later that day, (relating to everyday life) I made a timeline of our personal and professional goals, printed, framed, and is now hanging on a wall in our office.

 

The second Thursday of each month is another networking opportunity to play the board game Cashflow by Robert Kiyosaki.  The beauty of this group is anyone can bring friends, children, co-workers, etc.  If a person is thinking about getting into investing, but not sure where to start, then Cashflow is a great tool!  People comment how the game can be real life- like such as having a rental property to buying expensive sun glasses.  Also, the laid-back atmosphere helps people relax, laugh, and come/go as needed.  Tips for networking at Cashflow is to talk leisurely about the real estate market, remember this is not a competition, and to collect business cards to contact others if desired.

 

The third Thursday of the month is the Rochester Investor’s Meeting.  Reel Property Solutions, LLC has met other Fortune Builders people in this group!  The premise is an open discussion forum to talk about anything real estate related.  One useful part is the group typically sees the same properties and has the same opinions about renovations, location, and what the asking price should be verses what the asking price actually is.  Tips for networking here is this is not a competition: always be friendly, open-minded, and share at your own comfort level.

Alignable (set up to be like Facebook for businesses) is a super online networking site!  Emails are sent to suggest other entrepreneurs to add to our network to connect with people from all over the United States.  Anyone (registration is required first) can participate in a Questions/Answer Forum as the way to know others then anyone can choose to post or answer a question.  Tips for networking with Alignable is to make your presence known!  A Wholesaler found Reel Property Solutions, LLC here which is how we got introduced to a host of other successful real estate investors!

Word of mouth is probably the best way to network.  Always have a business card just in case someone asks about your business expertise.  Something unique that Reel Property Solutions, LLC has is magnets which is typically a surprise to the recipient!  Again, tips for networking are to be relaxed, confident, and honest about goods/services provided.  For example, a person may ask if Reel Property Solutions, LLC holds the properties that are renovated.  The answer is no.  Sometimes it is tempting to exaggerate and say yes and then come up with fictious numbers, but in the long run, honesty is the best policy!  Also, when getting to know people, keep in mind the best advertising is being recommended by others!

Craigslist has brought many phone calls from distressed homeowners, potential business folks, or people who are just curious about Reel Property Solutions, LLC.  This forum is used to: look for distressed properties, look for PMLs, and Wholesalers have found us through this website.

Of course, Fortune Builders is an amazing resource!  This “family” keeps growing!  There is a closed Facebook group to meet people and post questions.  Or there is the ever-wonderful support email system to reach out with any questions.  As mentioned in an above paragraph, Reel Property Solutions, LLC has met with other Fortune Builders couples in networking groups.  When the Fortune Builders team has come to the area for the initial preview class, it’s customary to say hi to express our gratitude and appreciation!

There have been many goals that will always be something to keep working on tips for networking.  First, this is how Reel Property Solutions, LLC has found Private Money Lenders, Wholesalers, and a Joint Venture partnership.  As stated with the Cashflow network, the former leader specifically reached out for me to take over the group.  How did that leader initially find Reel Property Solutions, LLC?  Alignable!  Through networking, there is now more knowledge of the local market which is softening slightly from 2016, 2017, and 2018 markets.  Networking benefits anyone Reel Property Solutions, LLC works with.
